Practice Nomination

The S³TAIR Project invites nominations of practices in literacy, positive behavior intervention, and/or special education instruction for students with disabilities from all New York State public schools and districts serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Nominations may be made by any member of the school community who knows the practice and the school, by parents of students attending the school or who are representatives of Parent Centers, and by higher education faculty who have worked with the school and know its practices.

Districts/schools should be able to document the effectiveness of the nominated practice for students with disabilities. Practices should have been sustained over a few years to demonstrate the commitment of the district/school to practice continuity. Interested parties may download the nomination form.
